Go Purple with Microtech

by Hayley

On Friday we celebrated Go Purple in aid of the Ayrshire Hospice. The aim of the game was to raise as much funds as possible for the charity which provides care and services to help people who have a life limiting illness.

In true Microtech fashion we have decided to get involved as best we can! We held a dress down and purple day which pretty much explains itself! Although our Helps You Buy Guy Martin has taken it to extremes in his purple kilt attire. Alongside this we had our raffle with prizes ranging from hand cream to alcohol to baby beetroot! I know what you’re thinking…pretty varied eh!

We also had a selection of cakes, crisps, sweets and juices which the teams in the building can help themselves to for a donation!

We have also had a Frisbee competition whereby our 2 Helps You Buy Guys played the game and donated every time they dropped the Frisbee. We have hosted a slug race! What is a slug race, I hear you ask! Well imagine doing the worm but racing to a designated line. That is a slug race and our team have donated to enter the heats! (We have smartly gained video proof of this-hilarious!)

Finally there was a prize for the person who has shown the biggest contribution to the cause (massive well done to Julie, our Jill of All Trades!) Whether it be purple attire or baked goods, lets recognise the commitment to the occasion!
